They’re two separate solutions. The Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is a free, open-source set of managed packages that sits on top of Sales Cloud, with pre-built donor management components and a 360-degree view of donor relationships. Nonprofit Cloud is a newer, industry-specific product built natively into Salesforce, with a different data model and tools for fundraising, program management, and grants in one place. The key difference: NPSP is supported but no longer developed, while Nonprofit Cloud (now Agentforce Nonprofit) is where Salesforce is adding new features.

Should We Migrate From NPSP to Nonprofit Cloud?

It depends on your needs. NPSP still works well for organizations with simpler processes, smaller teams, and established workflows. Nonprofit Cloud is the better fit if you’re scaling, managing complex programs, or want advanced features like predictive analytics and AI.
